Application Deadline: December 15, 2011

Applications and all related material must arrive in our office by December 15, 2011 in order to be considered for the following year.

Judging
A panel of distinguished judges in and outside of Hearst newspapers will review applications in late January/early February and select finalists. These finalists will be invited to participate in a two-day interview process at the Houston Chronicle in March.

Multimedia Boot Camp
Those selected for a Hearst Fellowship will take part in a two-week long multimedia boot camp in late August.

First Rotation
Starting in September, Fellows will begin their first rotation at assigned newspapers. Fellows will have two 9-month rotations during their tenure in the program.

Graduation
Hearst Fellowship is an 18-month program that consists of two 9-month rotations. Fellows graduate following their second 9-month rotation.
